Link planner

Will a wireless link reach?

Drop two points on the map, say the control cabin and the far car park, and see the ground between them. It shows whether the line of sight is clear and how high the masts need to be.

The filled shape is the ground between the two points, with the curve of the earth built in. The line is the radio path between the masts. Red marks show where the ground gets too close to it.

Want us to check it properly?

This uses ground height only. Trees, buildings and marquees are what usually catch links out, so for anything that matters we survey it on site. Send us this exact plan and we will take a look.

A planning aid, not a survey. Ground heights come from a 30 m terrain model and assume a standard atmosphere.
